Our Story
Through the years the HanSen company evolved from a small enterprise trading arts and crafts to an international company in the cosmetics industry.
A look back at the company’s history, the love of the product and the road of endurance:
1992
Hans-Georg Sengseis founded the HanSen Kunsthandwerk GmbH company
in Bad Ischl, Austria.
In the beginning the focus was solely on the sale of floral arrangements of dried and artificial flowers.
2001
The brand Ovis was born.
Initially the sheep milk soap was available only in ten shapes and one fragrance.
2003
Ovis moved into the newly built house in Seeham / Salzburg, Austria.
2010
Ovis went online.
For the first time customers could place their orders in the web shop.
2017
The year of the 25th anniversary.
The first major catalogue was issued, a first look back at a successful progress of the Ovis soap product range.
2018
The 10-year anniversary of the successful collaboration with Kooperative Werkstatt (KOWE), Puch/Hallein, Austria.
